Your two numbers
The letter asked one question: does your shop agree with your email platform about how many customers you can email?
This page answers it in about a minute, and the minute is mostly navigation, so each of the three counts below sits beside the screen it lives on. Type them as you find them. Nothing you type is sent anywhere or kept anywhere: the comparison happens inside this page.
The letter walks Shopify and Klaviyo. If your platform is a different one, the two numbers are still the same two, and the arithmetic does not change.
Two numbers can size a difference; they cannot name a cause. Every band below speaks in usual patterns, never certainties. Naming the cause takes the timestamps behind the numbers.
Your comparison
A difference this size is worth naming before it ages. Reply with the single word gap. Either button opens with the word already written.
You need not send the numbers. Add your website if you want the three places aimed at your stack. Replies within one working day.
What the direction means
The two systems count different things, so read the direction of a difference before its size:
- A reachable number above your shop’s is the ordinary shape. Signup forms add people who never became customers, and imports create records with no consent trail.
- A little below is ordinary too. Unsubscribes and bounces accumulate as suppressed records while your shop’s number lags.
- Far below is the shape that matters. Records parked by a setting, or never carried across at all: reachable, not reached, and no dashboard mentions them.
Reachable is a ceiling, not an exact count: some unsuppressed profiles never asked to hear from you at all. And if you email every week: this failure never reaches a send report. Campaigns go out looking healthy while records sit parked between the systems, where no report looks. Watching your sends is not watching this.
The join between them
One more screen, while you are in there. Still in Klaviyo: Integrations, find Shopify, and check the sync status and the last-synced date. This is the join between the two systems, which is the place nobody checks: your shop reports its number, your platform reports its number, and neither reports whether the two are talking. What those statuses mean is diagnosis, and it is deliberately not on this page.
To start: send the single word gap. Either button opens with the word already written; replying to your letter works too.

If your numbers agreed, you have ruled it out, and this page was the whole job.
If the difference is worth acting on
Running the check above was the first minute of the work: a true fact about your own systems, worked out by you, with nothing taken. The rest of the job is naming what the bands cannot: which bucket every unreachable record falls into, whether the people in it still consent, and what can be recovered lawfully.
Where paid work starts, and for what price, is published on the analysis page: a fixed £150 for the first rung, agreed before anything begins, with the guarantee in writing. The fixed-price build behind it is described on its own page. Nothing on this page asks you to decide anything today.
On one brand I worked with, Shopify counted everyone who had opted in; the platform could reach about 150. One account-wide setting had quietly parked 6,601 records, and for fifteen months nothing looked wrong on the dashboards, until the two numbers were read side by side. [D1:2151] of those records have since been recovered and verified. [D1:SPLIT] If your two numbers agree, you have ruled this problem out, and that is a good minute spent.
If the gap turns out to be insignificant, you pay [REDUCED FEE: sealed by David] and receive that finding in writing too. Insignificant means [THRESHOLD: sealed by David], printed here so the definition is fixed before you write to me, not after.
