Privacy notice

HigherSelf Systems is the trading name of HigherSelf Forge Limited, company number 14045104, registered in England and Wales. You can contact me at david@higherself.ai or by post at the company’s registered office, which Companies House lists for that company number.

What I hold and where it came from

If you run or work at a UK business whose public website I have reviewed, I may hold your name, your role and your work email address. I took these from your company’s own public website or from Companies House, and I record the source and the date of collection for each. I may also hold a note of something I found on your company’s public website, with the evidence, and any correspondence between us.

I hold business-capacity information only. I do not collect personal social media profiles, home addresses or anything else not needed to write to a professional about their business.

If you use the free site-check form on the home page, I receive the name, work email address and page URL you type into it. Those details are delivered to me by email and are used to reply to you and for nothing else: no list, no sequence, no tracking, no sharing. The form is hosted by my website provider, Netlify, which stores the submission so it can be delivered; ask me and I will delete both that record and the correspondence.

If you use the one-page inspection, I hold the URL you sent, the email address you sent it from and our correspondence. That is used to reply to you and for nothing else, and it is covered by the same retention rule below.

Why, and on what basis

I use this information to write to you once, and at most twice more, about what I found on your company’s site and the service I offer. My lawful basis is legitimate interests, Article 6(1)(f) UK GDPR: approaching businesses directly about a specific, evidenced issue on their own website. A written Legitimate Interests Assessment is on file and available on request.

I email named individuals only at companies verified on Companies House as limited companies or LLPs. I do not send marketing email to sole traders or ordinary partnerships.

Your right to object, and your other rights

You can object to receiving direct marketing from me at any time, for any reason or none, and I will stop immediately and will not write again. Reply to any email, or write to david@higherself.ai. This right is absolute.

You can also ask me what I hold about you, ask me to correct or delete it, ask me to restrict how I use it, or ask for a copy. You can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

Sharing and retention

I do not sell or share your details with anyone. My email provider processes messages on my behalf under contract, as any email provider does. If we do not end up corresponding, I delete your details after 12 months. If you ask me not to write, I keep only your email address on a suppression list, permanently, so that the request is honoured forever; that list is used for nothing else.

No tracking

My emails contain no tracking pixels, no open tracking and no link tracking of any kind. This website sets no cookies and runs no analytics that identify you.

The scanner

My scanner reads only public web pages, identifies itself as HigherSelfScan on every request, respects robots.txt, never submits forms and never attempts access to anything non-public. A full description, including how to block it, is at higherself.ai/scanner. Its logs for your site are available to you on request.
