How the work runs

A team of agents. One accountable builder.

A team of agents changes what one engineer can deliver, not who answers for it. You work directly with David Bentley, the engineer responsible for the work: there is no sales-to-delivery hand-off and no junior delivery layer. The agents are software; judgement does not delegate.

The engagement, end to end
The four stages of an engagement A directed team of AI agents produces inside each stage; the engineer briefs, verifies and merges. Four stages in sequence: find the work worth changing, build inside the real environment, prove the system before it is given authority, then operate, document and hand over. Between stages three and four is a gate: authority is granted only after agreed tests pass. A continuous rail beneath all four stages represents named human approval of every change of state and every customer send. An arrow returns from live operation back to the first stage: live use finds the next work worth changing. 01 Find the work 02 Build in place 03 Prove it first 04 Operate, hand over AGREED TESTS PASS NAMED HUMAN APPROVAL · EVERY CHANGE OF STATE · EVERY CUSTOMER SEND LIVE USE FINDS THE NEXT WORK The four stages of an engagement A directed team of AI agents produces inside each stage; the engineer briefs, verifies and merges. Live use finds the next work

  1. Find the work worth changing. I map what happens now, who owns it, where it fails and what result would make the work worth doing.
  2. Build inside the real environment. Agents produce code and drafts under my direction, verified against the data, tools, permissions and exceptions the workflow actually uses.
  3. Prove it before giving it authority. I agree tests with you, run the system on representative work, read the agents’ work against each other and keep a person in control of consequential decisions.
  4. Operate, document and hand over. I stay through live use. Your people receive the source, operating records, dependencies and instructions needed to keep control.
  • Access is read-only by default, on credentials you issue, in your own admin, revocable by you at any time.
  • For a live engagement, agreed checks report the current state. When something should change, the system proposes the change in writing, with the evidence and prior state captured.
  • The delivery record captures agreed checks, proposals, approvals and changes. A quiet month is reported as a quiet month, not left blank.

This is slower than full automation, deliberately. In a regulated business, the expensive failures are the confident, unattended ones. The expensive waste is quieter still: a system that works perfectly and automates a step nobody was waiting on. That is what stage one exists to prevent.

It stays with your organisation.

The source, data, workflow definitions, keys, logs and documentation live in accounts your organisation controls. Every external dependency is named. If the engagement stops, the system and a tested handover stay with you. The underlying AI model may still be supplied by a third party; where that is true, I say so and document the exit path.

There is one of me. Here is what that means.

HigherSelf Systems is one person, and you should know what that means before you buy. From month one you hold the documentation, regularly exported logs and a runbook any competent engineer can pick up. Holidays are scheduled and told to you in advance. If I am ill, you hear it from me, not from silence, and anything urgent routes to your named person, not to a pager I might miss.

The agents are the capacity; one person is the accountability.

What is not included.

No revenue, conversion or deliverability outcome is promised, and I do not provide legal, clinical, regulatory or advertising sign-off. The always-on agent I am working toward is a specification, not running software, and it is not part of anything I sell.
